2025,#4: HURRIYAH!

Join Falasteen on Film and Birmingham Queers for Palestine at The Old Print Works for an evening of queer film showings from (insert specific regions after checking). Followed by a night of music, dancing and performances from Bledi Party, a London-based collective celebrating the LGBTQIA+ SWANA (Southwest Asian and North African) community.

Support the boycott of 'Birmingham Pride' and come to our party!

With a variety of BDS-friendly drinks from local vendors, and snacks before partying, 'Hurriyah' is shouting about grassroots queerness, centring QTIPOC (Queer, Trans, Intersex People of Colour) films, performers and creatives. A coming together of the most beautiful parts of our community to focus on true pride all year round and reject colonialist pinkwashing of our identities. While israel erases Palestinian queerness, we hold on to the words of our incredible queer siblings in Palestine.

'In the name of revolutionary love, a love which fuels our struggle for liberation and yearning for freedom, rooted in our love for our communities and our land; we tell you, there is no pride with genocide, and there is no pride in settler-colonialism.'

(a variety of non-alcoholic drinks will be available, along with vegan and gluten-free food options. The Old Print Works lower gallery has step-free access, and a 'quiet room' with fidget toys, ear defenders and calm activities will be available throughout the evening. check abt accessible toilets)
